The first Schweizr
By Patrik Bernhard | Dec 18, 2009
In spring 2009, I put my laptop via Beamer & then (third class), the project www.schweizr.ch before. A week later we wrote then possible topics and ideas on the blackboard and ordered them to specific locations. After a few digital research of individual children then all children from 9.6.-23.6.2009 worked on their texts in order to then click schweizr.ch online. They wrote their first draft in "Text Factory" (text-book design) and researched and then in the Internet, when they still needed additional information. The first texts were then allowed to be immediately corrected and digitally transcribed, stored in the class drive and thus prepare for the upcoming upload!
The children who had already typed up and stored ready made, to the image search, as they should be looking parallel to the entire written work also a suitable image for their "Schweizr" text. For this purpose they shot themselves either equal a digital image it; document to me via email or Educanet2 they sought a familiar image on-line free-pictures-Internet platforms. I asked the children the possibility of scanning available, the active was used because most of the images are often just stuck somewhere in the family or holiday albums. Also needs the total image search most of the time!
Due to technical delays and summer the work could be started only after 3 months. For the upload, we have jointly decided to set up a class account and all reports using this to publish a user name. After I had done this, the children were still only log into the school network, open, copy its (m class drive stored) text, and (after login) online Insert schweizr.ch again. The same procedure with the appropriate image. The hardest part was now only to find the appropriate place on the big map of Switzerland. Since you first the "marker" (the red flag was set), we quickly realized that it (in the 4th grade) is not so easy to find on the map of Switzerland Melide, Bisisthal Morschach or to the relevant texts to provide Swiss miniature husky camp or Swiss Holiday Park in accordance with online.
found this was the support of the teacher and asked if she also did not know what, for example, the husky camp was using cards, professionals, peers, parents, or the Internet (possibly even as homework). Only when the place was exactly localized, the story could also be placed correctly online.
On Friday, 11 September 2009, Martina turned her text and her picture online. She was the first ever to put their text in Schweizr.ch online and the remaining stories trickled in "two-story-per-day rhythm pure". Very quickly the children wrote their own texts but already to self-chosen topics and found this from home also calculate online! The system had become independent ... - probably in the spirit of the inventor!
